What's AI, and what isn't.
The music
The voices and instruments are generated with ACE-Step, an open-source music model I run on my own machine. I choose the sound, direct the takes, and throw out the ones that don't work. Every release is labeled AI-made wherever it goes.
Still Here for a Reason: the words come from my own memoir, written with help from Claude and ChatGPT, and checked line by line by me. The band albums' lyrics are written with AI tools from story ideas I set. ℗ & © 2026 Topher Cook.
The audiobooks
The texts are public-domain editions — the King James Apocrypha (1611), R. H. Charles's translations (1913–1917), S. C. Malan's Adam and Eve (1882), the Ante-Nicene Fathers — lightly modernized for listening: archaic spellings and some word order updated for the ear, names and verse order kept. Before a title is sold, its chapters are measured against that edition word for word.
Narration is synthetic: a fixed cast of neural voices, directed by software I built. No human narrator was recorded and no living person's voice was cloned. The one-line "Timeline" at the head of each chapter was written for these editions with help from a language model, reviewed, and marked as commentary — it is not scripture.
The books
Published on Amazon under the pen name Topher Rent. The Lost Scriptures editions pair public-domain texts with commentary written for these editions, with help from AI tools. The memoirs are my own story.
What I don't do
I don't host or sell anyone else's work. I don't run ads. There are no accounts and no tracking cookies here — just anonymous counts of visits and plays. Payments go through Stripe; I get your email so I can deliver what you bought, and that's it.
