The Epistle of Paul to the Laodiceans
1 chapters · 12 min · MP3
Colossians mentions a letter to Laodicea. This twenty-verse text is what the Middle Ages read in its place — a patchwork of Pauline phrases that was copied into Latin Bibles for a thousand years. Twelve minutes, and free.

Text: Adapted for listening from Archbishop William Wake's translation (The Apocryphal New Testament; Lost Books of the Bible, 1820s), public domain — lightly modernized for the ear; names and order kept.
Narration: Digital narration — a locked cast of synthetic character voices, performed with emotion. No human narrator was recorded.
The text is the public-domain edition named above, lightly modernized for listening. Each chapter opens with a one-line Timeline written for this edition; that line is commentary, not scripture, and it says so.
